I had slogged through the first two books as I liked the premise and some of the characters and then it struck me that I was being played. The author had these characters that were doing things only to move the plot forward. There wasn’t information given that wasn’t useful, there wasn’t an action that wasn’t propelling everything to then end of the book that really isn’t an ending. All it did was set up the heaven knows how many other books are in this series. This is second book syndrome that I don’t care to find out if it is true for the next 5 books. The first book had promise the second book removed that promise and what I paid for the book. I have read a handful of books that made me want to throw across the room. I'm an avid but picky reader. There are authors I dont care to read, but this isn't one of them. I can not stop reading, staying up ay to late because I'm so absorbed in this story.
I really enjoyed reading this book as well as all of Tamara's books. She has a fantastic imagination, and her writing transports you to the world she has created with her mind. The story line has many twists and turns and keeps you guessing what will happen next. It is never predictable....Waiting on the next in the series, so I can see what happens....
There are numerous characters in this interesting and unusual story of vampires, werewolves and singers and their supernatural abilities. There is never a dull moment for Jude Wade, who finds out she is a "rare one" in the Blood singers. Jude has many love interests and the story has murder, intrigue and mystery as well as revenge in this second book in the series. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
This book was awesome!! As always, Tamara weaves a story of adventure that I seem to be addicted to. I was three pages into this & I was balling my eyes out. Strong emotions run deep throughout this series. I loved it. ) Towards the end Jules understands who she's destined to be with but the cliff-hanger points to other danger. Dun dun dun dun. So, I'm just sitting here, impatiently waiting for book 3. *sighs*
An amazing book by an amazing author! Could not put my kindle down, loved all the twists and turns this book had you never knew what would happen next. Can't wait to see what happens next!

Another amazing read from Tamara Rose Blodgett. This is the second book in the series and picks up right where book one left off. It's so wonderful to see the characters grow through each chapter. So wonderfully well written that you can't help but fall in love with the characters. It is sad that Jules may not be able to be with her husband ever again but there still may be hope...
